Eric Carle’s Tips on How to Work with Wet Tissue Papers

Here is how I prevent my wet tissue papers from sticking to old newspapers which I have spread on the floor.

  1. I paint the first sheet of tissue paper and place it on the newspaper.
  2. I paint the second sheet and place it next to the first sheet. Then I briefly lift the first sheet ever so lightly.
  3. I paint the third sheet and place it next to the second sheet, then I briefly lift the second sheet and first sheet get the idea.

After you have lifted each sheet two or three times, they will have dried sufficiently and won’t stick anymore.
